This man loves the Kong.

This man loves the Kong.

Anyone who’s seen The King Of Kong: A Fistful Of Quarters, instantly recognizes the above face. If you’re not familiar with the story, go to Netflix and put it on your “Instant” queue list, then come back here and read the rest of this article. For those who do know who he is, or are now returning, hit the jump to see how he did today.

Cool movie wasn’t it? Well anyway, today at E3 Steve once again attempted to re-claim the title of Donkey Kong world record holder. Unfortunately, he fell short of the goal, but did reach the kill screen, with a respectable score of 989,400. (After a power outage, even!)

I could so beat this.

I could so beat this.

Hard not to root for the guy, especially if you’ve seen the movie, and know about that, other guy. I’m not even going to type his name. If you must know more, you can find him on Steve’s Wiki Page, which has more details on past attempts and a nice bio.

We here at SHR! are rooting for you Steve, the record will fall soon.
