N64 First Person shooters developed by Rare hold a special place in the hearts of many an old-school gamer (crap… N64 is old school? I’m getting old…). Heck, SOME PEOPLE even have their Gamertag on Live reflect that fact. And even though the XBLA GoldenEye remake is probably never coming, the old school hardcore have SOMETHING to look forward to.

The image above was sent to Destructoid, via a gamer in Brazil, and certainly seems to lend credence to the rumor that Perfect Dark would be coming to Live in GoldenEye’s place. For those who skipped it, Perfect Dark was Rare’s pseudo-sequel to GoldenEye on the N64, and required the addition of a RAM module to the N64 for multiplayer. I’m assuming the 360 will be fine without it.

No idea when this will be announced, but with E3 around the corner, that seems like a good day to place bets on.
