Wow… this one seemed to come out of nowhere! Today Rockstar announced that the third installment in the Max Payne series is not only en route, but coming in the winter of 2009. The game has been announced for PS3 and Xbox 360, with no word of a PC edition on the horizon. Let’s go to the press release!
“This is Max as we’ve never seen him before, a few years older, more world-weary and cynical than ever. We experience the downward spiral of his life after the events of Max Payne 2 and witness his last chance for salvation.”
Huh, right on. I never really got into Max Payne but I’m sure Trev is going batty right now. I wonder who is doing the development since Remedy is working on Alan Wake (supposedly) these days. Anyways, sound off below. Interested?

Dunno who’s on the ball with this project, but they better reinvent the slo-mo wheel again for this title. Twenty minutes of Stranglehold made me sick of the Max Payne formula for life.
BTW how did you know I’m so apepoopy over this game? Oh yeah, the drunken X box night. I remember now. Sort of.
