Well, this is somewhat of a surprise. Out of nowhere, a demo for the upcoming Guitar Hero: Metallica has popped on to the Xbox Live Marketplace. The demo is supposed to allow play of all instruments and vocals over 4 tracks (Sad but True, No Excuses, Stone Cold Crazy, and Seek and Destroy). It weighs in at a hefty 1 GB, so clear off some room on the ol’ hard drive and let us know what you think of the game below. I mean, it can’t be worse than Guitar Hero: Aerosmith, right?

It’s good. I’m actually excited about this one. My only gripe is GH’s choice of cartoonish looks over RB’s more gritty tone, but who’s looking at the graphics anyway?
